The Bureau County Lincoln Day Dinner was held on February 21, 2015 at the WiseGuy’s Bar and Grill in Princeton, IL. The Bureau County Republican Women held their annual dessert auction after the banquet dinner. There were many selections of desserts to choose from ranging from cakes and pies, cookies, crème puffs and cheese cakes. Our guest auctioneer, Rick Rediger, garnered many bids from the guests present with the highest bid going to Kristi Warren’s Mississippi Mud Cake. Total raised from the auction was $1,165.00. These funds will be used to support Local, State and Federal Republican candidates in future elections. The Bureau County Republican Women would like to thank all who participated in this successful event.
The Lincoln Day Committee also ran a straw poll for the 2016 Presidential Race. Each person casting a vote in the straw poll donated $5.00. $350 was raised from this fund raiser with the following Candidate tabulation:
