On Oct. 8, new state Sen. Chuck Weaver took his oath of office and began serving the residents of Illinois’ 37th Senate District. Weaver, a Republican, was appointed to replace former Sen. Darin LaHood, who was recently elected to serve as the U.S. Representative for the 18th Congressional District of Illinois to fill the vacancy created by former Congressman Aaron Schock’s resignation.
